Two former Fulhamites, and reserves
By: timmyg | April 15th, 2009Hate to use the phrases “has been” and “never was”, but Sylvan Legwinski and Ismael Ehui recently popped up in England.
Seems ol’ Sylvan and Ehui recently joined St. Neots Town F.C. who compete in the United Counties Football League Premier Division. For those who don’t know, thats Step 5 of the National League System; below the Gas, Ryman, and UniBond leagues.
Sylvan was a White before my time, and Ehui was a prospect that featured in the reserves regularly before being released in Roy’s May 2008 purge. Good luck to both of them.
And the reserves won last night. Giles Barnes netted two, and Julian Gray featured. I’m going to write up something about those two, and ask why they’re currently on the team, before the weekend. So prepare yourselves!

Horrible to think of Monica as a has been. He was a quality player, who could make three midfield positions his own. I’ll never forget the goal against Newcastle that sparked our escape in 2002-03. I turned to my friends as the ball rolled towards him about 30 yards out and said ‘Don’t pass to him, he can’t shoot!’ just before he rocketed a brilliant strike into the net.
He was a wonderful servant to the club, fully committed, strong in the tackle and no mean finisher. Arguably the best moment of his Fulham career – and one of my happiest memories – was the clinching goal of a remarkably see-saw game against Spurs also at Loftus Road.
I wasn’t sure at the time but I’m certain we got rid of him too soon. He had a falling out with Coleman, who’s man management was one of the reasons why he took Fulham backwards.
The sad truth about Ehui was that he wasn’t good enough for a Premiership club. The fact that he’s now at St Neots says it all really. Look forward to the post about Gray and Barnes.

Haha I appreciate the passion Dan, but I was being somewhat facetious…

Mate, if you think that’s passionate, wait until you hear my co-blogger Nick (the guy who created HammyEnd.com) talk about Leggy. He makes him sound like the messiah.

Oh, and it’s Sylvain Legwinski by the way. Hence the chant:
‘He’s Sylvain, he probably thinks this song is about him …’
Clever, huh?
