New Blogger Here…New Fulham There?
By: timmyg | March 17th, 2008Hi all. I’m Timmy and I’m new to The Offside, but not Fulham.
I’ve been following the SW6 club for almost two years, but this year has been an unpredicted roller coaster ride. I knew it was going to be a tough season, but nothing to match the drama experienced herein.
And Sunday’s victory over Everton exemplified that. With each team winning the home leg for the past eight or so seasons, victory should have been expected. But with this club, anything is possible.
Thanks to McGod (us fans’ name for McBride), Fulham got just their fourth victory all season. And with Birmingham drawing today, they are now just four points from safety, and two from leaping Bolton for 18th spot. And unlike Jacob, I don’t see the idiocy in thinking they can survive.
With a favorable schedule in the coming weeks, Fulham’s might will be tested until the very end.
I’m currently on spring break playing ultimate Frisbee in Savannah, GA but I’ll hope to check in before the HUGE match at St. James’ this Saturday.
Thanks for having me. Lets have some fun.
