It’s about time, isn’t it?

By: jon | October 1st, 2007

Hey Fulham fans. After a cursory inspection, I noticed the lack of a Fulham blog on this fine site. A remedy was necessary, and within days, problem solved. So welcome!

A little bit about myself. I live in Virginia, which you can may know is a few miles away from London. As such, I won’t be able to get player interviews, see what kind of suit Lawrie is wearing, or give Deuce a high five. I am doing this with the power of the internet, and at the mercy of FSC. As such, I solicit news and opinion from any of you, and if it is coherent and/or funny, it’ll be on here for the world to see.

I’m a relatively new Fulham fan, and I’ll admit that I was drawn to Fulham due to the influx of American talent headed to Craven Cottage. Deuce, Bocanegra, and McBride are some of the best of our exports (much better than McDonalds or Paris Hilton), and I wanted to support them in the best league in the world.

Enough about me. Fulham currently sits 16th in the table, with 7 points. I was asking my friend if it would be possible to go the entire season with draws straight through. He assured me it was unlikely, but were it to happen, Fulham should be above the relegation scrap. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen. The defense looked much better against Chelsea then it did in any previous league match, although the prolific scoring hit a little snag. I have confidence that this team (IF it gets the backline playing together) could be in the top 10 by season end. With Bullard returning, and Stefanovic and McBride coming back at some point, this team will only get better. Let’s hope that Portsmouth’s offensive explosion last week was a fluke, and that Deuce can get back on the score sheet.

Well, nice to meet you all, and come back and make some noise.

PS- As my first declaration, which I assume will not be received by everyone as “correct”, Niemi to Siberia, Keller as the first team keeper, and Troy Perkins from DC United to come over as his understudy. And yes, I’m a DC fan, and write their Offside page as well.

Sweet dude, good to have another Prem blog. I used to not mind Fulham because they had Radzinski, but now… Well, welcome anyway.

This all passed me by and I never noticed the Fulhm blog! Welcome from the Blackburn Offside. One of my favourite matches was Fulham away. You’ll remember it, 4-3 to us absolute classic game, went one way then the other. Then we won. Happy days.
