Ehh, Its just a friendly…

Well the winning streak is over.

And Woy put out a questionable lineup (which, for an exhibition match, is troublesome).

Nonetheless, Fulham lost 1-0 to Busan l’Park in a match that was apparently quite poor. But hey, nothing like travelling to some random Korean city because of the sponsor…right?

I really shouldn’t care, but there’s just too many oddities about the match. Its almost as if the club went there to lose, a la Boys of Company C. I already wrote it, but seriously just look at the full lineup:

GK — David Stockdale, Pascal Zuberbühle (on trial)
DEF — John Pantsil, Brede Hangeland, Leon Andreasen, Toni Kallio, Aaron Hughes, Paul Konchesky
MID — Andranik, Danny Murphy, Seol Ki-Hyeon, Lee Cook, Jimmy Bullard, Zoltan Gera
FWD — Bobby Zamora, David Healy, Rob Milsom, Eddie Johnson

So uh, no Davis. Or Bouazza. Or John. Or (gulp) Baird. Or Keller (where is he anyway?) or Schwarzer or Niemi?? Not even Dempsey?

Just Andreasen as CB. Academy player Milsom. More Gera and Murphy. And the shocking start of Ki-Hyeon. I don’t think I need to say any more about the lineup, as the silliness speaks for itself.

The Offal has some photos. The club returns to action this Saturday against Ulsan Hyundai. I just hope there’s some semblance of endeavor with the roster.

  Keller’s contract is up and he’s most likely not returning. There’s talk of Liverpool wanting Niemi, but so do West Ham. It’s rumored he’s going to go into talks with Liverpool next week about becoming Reina’s backup. Schwarzer was there training. And idk if Dempsey made the trip. The other guys may still be on holiday.

  I know his contract is up, but he wasn’t released like everyone else, whose contracts were also up, was two months ago. I’m more asking his whereabouts rhetorically, as its odd a decision hasn’t been made yet. But he did sign for us as late as August last year, and helped us survive. So I guess I can’t complain…

  But why not start Schwarzer? There’s no way in hell Stockdale will be the #1.

  And I forgot to ask where Smertin’s been since March.
