Charm City footy
By: timmyg | July 24th, 2009Totally un-Fulham related, but the newspaper here in Baltimore has a pictorial history of footy in this city.
Major kudos to the Sun for doing this, and devoting lots of coverage (and more) for the friendly between Chelsea and AC Milan this evening. Its sold out, but I wasn’t planning on attending anyway.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see D.C. United forced to relocate within 5 years with the stadium impasse in Washington/NoVa/Prince George’s County that doesn’t appear to get sorted out any time soon. All along, and much to people’s disapproval, I’ve thought Baltimore would be a good home for them.
Hopefully these pictures, stories, and friendly tonight get that ball rolling.
