Points at Anfield?!?

Well I predicted a late winner loser, and thankfully was proven wrong. And boy how happy I was to be so.
With just one away point registered all season, coming away from Anfield with a point is HUGE. And it wasn’t a match that three points were stolen from us, nor us nipping it at the death and getting lucky. Essentially, it was the opposite of the Sunderland match from earlier this season — we deserved this.
I haven’t written much about him other than a few quips here and there, but I really need to tip my hat to our goalkeeper, Mark Schwarzer. When he arrived, I was pleasantly surprised because I know how well he did at Boro and with the Aussies. But I didn’t know how vital he would be in the assembling and composure of our defense and making clutch saves.
Niemi pulled saves out of thin air, but never seemed to have the defense in tow. Keller wasn’t around enough to say one way or the other. And Lastuvka was just terrible.
But Schwarzer has it. And the club’s stellar defense record shows it.
Oh, and Torres is a baby.
