Yesterday’s 1-0 win over FC Basle wasn’t anything pretty, or even memorable. But it was a victory; a Roy Hodgson-esque victory.

For the first time in six years, Fulham won their opening day match, and for the first time since we were in the league that win was on the road.
Dempsey’s deflected shot off Zamora was enough for Fulham to win 1-0 over Pompey in a rather uneventful, if not typical away, match. Standard Hodgson.
