Wille is on to something/loaner report

By: timmyg | Comments 5 Comments

Tom Wille, FulhamUSA founder and Fulham correspondent for ESPN Soccernet, penned a piece that I wish I’d thought of: Why All the Road Matches After Europa League Ties?
Seriously, Fulham have (counting backwards) gone from Rome to Wigan, London (Roma home) to Manchester City, London (Basle home) to West Ham, Sofia to Wolves and Perm [...]

The Cup runneth is over

By: timmyg | Comments No Comments

United are no longer a football club. They’re an unstoppable machine. Skynet. High fructose corn syrup. Obama’s presidential campaign.
Everywhere. Unavoidable. Undefeatable.
So its no surprise they demolish Fulham 4-0 in the FA Cup right?
Honestly, I think otherwise.
Fulham played quite possibly their worst game all season, second to, well, that first affair against Manchester United.
Coincidental? Most [...]

Everyone has a hobby…

Note the second name of the two authors.
In case us fans, or this blog, didn’t need another reason to love the Aussie, turns out he wrote a childrens book (which evidently isn’t new news), replete with it’s own website, and teaching tools therein.
The book, the first of three, is about Edward ‘Megs’ Morrison who moves [...]

One step from Wembley

By: timmyg | Comments 1 Comment

But it’ll be a massive step, made possible by Fulham’s 2-1 come from behind victory over Swansea City today in the FA Cup Fifth Round replay.
I was just finishing my deadline and had a reporters meeting during most of this match (I work for a newspaper), so needless to say I paid attention for all [...]

The Loaner Report

By: timmyg | Comments No Comments

A few of our loaners had some games in midweek, but only Andranik saw regular action throughout. Eddie Johnson continues to not play, while Seol seems to be playing in Saudi Arabia — but beyond that I cant get any further info on him.
Eddie Johnson did not dress in Cardiff City’s 2-2 draw with Wolves [...]

Swansea City

By: timmyg | Comments No Comments

Mamma mia! What to say?
Well, we all knew it was going to be a tough match, and kudos to Swansea for playing so well. Add in the internationals and evident lack of practice and preparation this week, and fixture congestion next week, then its a recipe for the display we saw today.
Or was it?
In [...]

Swansea City away

By: timmyg | Comments 1 Comment

As the balls were plucked and the draw announced, I felt as if I was navigating a minefield. Please, “no top four, no Villa, no other premiership side” I said to myself.
Well, thankfully that was avoided. Or at least I think so.
Some are considering it a dangerous proposition, but all things considered Swansea City [...]

Avoiding the banana peel

By: timmyg | Comments No Comments

Us Fulham fans best send thank you cards to Kettering Town goalkeeper Lee Harper because his bungling of Davies’ cross/Zamora’s header/AJ’s goal is really the only separating factor from us advancing to the fifth round and having a replay at the Cottage.
Although, in theory, Fulham should have walked all over the K-Town minnows, it [...]

Making the (FA Cup) Rounds

By: timmyg | Comments 1 Comment

Finally found some video of yesterday’s win, and from looking at the highlights it seems the two goals were well set up and slotted home by the always classy AJ. CCN has a good write-up from someone who actually saw the whole match. The fans there were happy to win our first away match all [...]
