Maybe his numbers could be better, but some things are not easy to measure. I would take guys like clint and also like McBride on any team I was putting together. No one thought that the US Men's National Team would be able to beat Spain to get into the final of the Confederations Cup, but they did and they were there in part because of Dempsey's play. Sure, Howard had an awesome game in the net, maybe one of his best, but Dempsey was key in the way he got back o defense. Again, defense doesn't do much for a midfielder's numbers, but Dempsey was willing to do whatever was needed to help his team win.
